Hello,

Does anyone have any idea of how much it costs to rent a kiosk / stall in one of the malls? or in Marina Walk (opposite Spinneys), or Souk Madinat?

I have been trying to get the information through the Emaar offices since this morning but they either don't answer the phone or transfer me to a voice mail...and no one calls back:(

you can get a license done for you or operate under the company.

I asked one in the Mall of the Emirates once and they said 10,000AED a month, which is why the prices are so high MOE is from AED 35000-45000 per month now. Madinat Jumeirah Souq strating from AED 18,000 to AED 25,000 depending on the location. DFC Starting from AED 20,000 IBN I think is AED 18,000 but i close my shop in IBN as traffic was too low. Surprisingly, I made good money in Souq Madinat Jumeirah. I tried JBR Covent Garden Market too for 3 years in a row, I gave up. People were just looking around, rent is usually AED 550 per day. Thanks for the info!!! I have tried to talk to Madinet so many times. Never got a clear answer. Do we need a trade license for them or like the Covent Garden do we work under their trade license as a stall? Trade license is a must in Souq Madinat Jumeirah, Contact person is Marion- She is lovely, strict though.

When you book a kiosk in the locations you mentioned below, do you need to have a Dubai trade license or can you book the space under a free zone license? TIA! In Covent Garden Market you don’t have to have a license as you will be under their license (Covent) but they will ask you to pay them 350 AED per month for using theirs. In the malls, you must have a business license. I am not sure if free zone license is acceptable as I know such license is only valid to do business inside free zone. Malls are not free zone.

One kiosk owner bought a shipment of rubber shoes from me, I sold the shoes for Dh10 each, they sold them on for Dh150.
