I've been provided with a telephone number of an agent that operates in this tower, but they did not seem very keen to help...

I live in Durrat al Marsa but in one of the front villas not the actual tower. It is an older building but I love the location as easy access to Shk Zayed Rd and walking distance to all of the restaurants and JBR walk. Another bonus is all maintenance is included so there is no extra cost if something breaks down or needs fixing. The landlord is a local who owns the whole building so it is extra nice not dealing with greedy landlords or worrying that we can be evicted. Our rent stayed the same and there was no increase in the second year - best move we have made :)
