Hi everyone

I wondered if anyone can provide a recommendation on a reputable car rental company I could possibly use.

I am looking to hire a car, just something to get me from A to B in the first month while I house hunt and try to get settled.

Any advice or things to be aware of are highly appreciated!

We noticed the car rental companies here (this month) are just as cheap when booking online than the monthly prices they offer here otherwise. I suggest www.rentalcars.com. The bonus is there is no contract and they include insurance in the price.

I would keep in mind asking whichever company you decide on if there is a charge for your spouse to use the car as well (if applicable). In my past experience, a few of the big names are pricier (Budget, National) but the priced evened out when we found which one didn't charge for an extra driver. I am sorry, but I can't remember which one doesn't charge... Also, rent in monthly increments, even if you plan on returning it earlier. This often lowers your daily rate, and you are only charged for the days you have the car.

I took swifty. Watch out for insurance prices. You don't want to drive without insurance and then the initial price may change quite a bit.....
