To mark the unification of the emirates in 1972, the UAE's capital is hosting a number of fantastic events...
But the most significant of all of the activities happening for UAE National Day in Abu Dhabi has to be what's planned at Zayed Sports Stadium.
Official celebrations are happening at the venue for 2018, and it's one bash that promises to elevate all UAE National Day celebrations to a whole new level.
Festivities this year in Abu Dhabi are following the theme of "This is Zayed. This is the UAE" as part of this year's Year of Zayed celebrations.
Organisers have promised to deliver a stunning performance, with a highly visual show that will celebrate and honour the life and achievements of the UAE's founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Expect entertaining live shows, plenty of music, visual arts and interactive performances.
