In celebration of the United Arab Emirates' 49th National Day on December 2, the country will host a series of fireworks displays across many of the nation's most popular destinations to mark the occasion.

Typically, UAE National Day is celebrated with a parade and much more. While authorities have rolled out some strict restrictions this year as a precautionary measure, including social gatherings and gift exchanges, you can still enjoy all the UAE National Day celebrations that are available.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be marking the annual occasion with a number of events planned, and the icing on the cake is the stunning razzle-dazzle in the night sky.

Here's where you can see the UAE National Day fireworks in Dubai...

Festival City Mall

The night sky will dazzle at the Dubai Festival City Mall waterfront for the UAE National Day celebrations. The ever-popular waterfront is lined with a wide selection of restaurants and cafes - if you'd like to treat yourself to a dinner and a show, it's best to arrive there early and enjoy a meal before the special lights and fireworks display.

Plus, it won't just be one fireworks display, but two!

  • Date: Monday, December 2
  • Timing: 7pm to 9:15pm, and 9:30pm to 11:30pm

Palm Fountain

You can't go more luxurious than this - UAE residents and tourists can enjoy a free firework spectacle at the world's highest fountain. With the backdrop of the Atlantis, the fireworks show at the Palm Fountain is sure to be a picture-perfect one.

Put together by Emirati composer Ihab Darwish, you can also expect a live orchestra.

UAE National Day fireworks in Abu Dhabi

These are the places you can watch this year's fireworks from Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival

From December 1 to 3, residents and visitors can view the annual fireworks from Al Wathba at the FREE-entry Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival by the Abu Dhabi Corniche. The show will take place at 9 PM.

On top of the UAE National Day fireworks, the festival will feature arts, crafts, food and performance, as well as special events over the long weekend. We suggest checking out the event's falconry displays and camel races!
