Dr. Ali graduated from the University of Alexandria, Egypt, before gaining an MD in Clinical Medicine from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. He also holds an MSc in Respiratory Medicine from the University of London and a European Respiratory diploma. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He is dually accredited in Respiratory Medicine and general Internal Medicine and he is included in the General Medical Council specialist register.
Dr. Ali has more than 14 years of experience at consultant level in the UK. He has extensive exposure to all disciplines of pulmonology and sees patients presenting with the full spectrum of respiratory symptoms and diseases including chronic cough, breathlessness, wheeze, chest infections, asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, tumours and sleep apnoea. He is an experienced bronchoscopist and skilled in various respiratory procedures.
In addition to his fellowships, he is also a member of the British Thoracic Society and the European Respiratory Society.
