3 weeks of non-stop fun and learning at this exciting children's winter camp experience, open for all children from 45 days to 6 years old!
Odyssey Nurseries' Reggio on Ice winter camp invites all babies and children (up to the age of 6) who are staying in Dubai for the winter break to spend an unforgettable time with their second family - their Odyssey family. All our alumni are super excited to return to Odyssey, bringing with them their friends and neighbours, and once their outside community joins, Odyssey winter camp becomes more joyful.
Choosing to send your child to Odyssey’s annual winter camps is a fantatistic opportunity to help support your child's development.
Additionally, as the winter camp remains open until 5PM, mums and dads can relax knowing that their children are exploring, collaborating, and creating wonders with their friends in a safe and nurturing environment until it's time to go home.
The holiday season is when we tend to break the routine and do things that are fun.
At every Odyssey camp, a different theme is chosen for the children to embark on and explore. This year, the chosen topic is Reggio on Ice, and the types of activities are carefully designed for the children to get fully emersed within the Reggio Emilia approach. The children will also encounter activities outside the walls of the nursery.
The winter camp at Odyssey Nurseries is offered in both French and English by their professional staff of experienced teachers and teaching assistants, so if you would like to expose your child to a new language, this is a great opportunity.
The environment at Odyssey is completely changed, from their outdoor garden to the classrooms, so that kids can fully engage in their projects, following the Reggio approach.
What to expect at the Reggio on Ice Winter Camp?
This December, Odyssey nurseries present an all-new, enchanting winter break for little ones at Reggio on Ice!
The fun-filled December camp recreates a special wintery setting where children can explore an array of fun icy, hands-on activities. Magical adventures are on the program, dedicated to nurturing children’s natural curiosity in a creative Reggio environment.
Week 1
Ice Magic World
Let’s get creative with Ice!
Activities:
- Arctic sensory bin with ice
- Arctic slime
- Outdoor ice skating
- Snow owl painting
- Build an igloo with loose parts
- Arctic animal yoga
- Penguin reggio art
- Arctic scenes
- Northern light art
Mums and dads can also join in the fun, as week one also invites parents to participate in exciting activities, sip on afternoon hot chocolate amidst the camp's wintery scene, and enjoy a surprise winter fashion show!
Week 2
The theme for this week will be exploring the top of the world - the Arctic!
Little adventurers will venture North into the lands of the Arctic, with a field trip to Ski Dubai where they'll have a special encounter with real penguins.

- Winter small world – using natural resources
- Winter snowdough
- Snow exploration – outdoor activity
