Dear Ladies

I've been in Dubai for 10 years. Honestly, I hoped I would be married by now. Been engaged twice. Luckily true colours came out before I even tried on the white dress. One ended due to him having an affair and the other ended up being being physically aggressive and abusive.

I have been on my own for 3 years now. I have 3 lovely rescue dogs all with specials needs. and 2 cats as well. I sponsor a live in maid to help me while I am at work too. I'm not a Dubai party girl. I'm often at home and I know what is missing in my life. It's having children whether my own or adopted.

I find myself age 37. Teaching kindergarten wishing that I had a family of my own already. If I wait for finding Mr. Right which possibly doesn't exist I may miss out on the joy of motherhood.

How is having a family possible in the UAE if I am single? Can I adopt? Can I fly to India and get a sperm donor, be inseminated and return to the UAE and then leave the UAE to deliver my child? Should I freeze my eggs? Can I freeze my eggs here?

My first step is to remove my IUD and I hope to have a normal menstruation cycle. I have started that process and found a gynecologist at a really good clinic in Jumeriah.

I'm in the beginning stages of thinking about what to do, what my options are, etc....I was reaching out seeking any advice or personal experiences from any ladies in this group.

Thank you in advance for your time

Hi, I’ve been thinking a lot about this recently (conceiving while here). I thought I’d start with checking the quality of my eggs first. I’ve read about Basal FSH and AMH tests but still currently searching for a clinic and a non-judgmental gynecologist who can give proper advice. If you don’t mind me asking, have you done any of these tests?

Hi there - also thinking of doing the same and wondering if any progress was made and if it is possible ? Thanks for any help or insight
Hello - I haven't had much luck. Thought of going to another country to do it, and deliver there as well but the risk is what happens if you have early labour in Dubai -I believe the hospitals ask for a marriage certificate on arrival...too risky...have you managed to get any info at all?

Artificial insemination for Singles is not allowed in the UAE. This can only be done with a Husband I know married couples that had adopted outside the UAE ( Ethiopia) however i have no clue for single parents

I can conceive but I do not have a partner and I find it difficult to find a trustworthy partner here in Dubai. With 2 failed engagements Im thinking why cant I be a single mom and raise a child myself? I have a good job and have the financial means to provide and have a lot of love to give. Thank you and I will contact them. Have a great day.

I'm aware that non-Muslim expats living in the UAE can adopt a child by the laws of their home country - it might be worth seriously considering as there will no doubt be a child out there you can give a great life to if you are unable to conceive yourself. Otherwise, have you talked to pros like Fakih IVF about AI and the laws in the UAE surrounding it? Might be worth getting in touch with them
