Didn't know Danat used to be Intercontinental! Thanks for the info, chizz and Minne.

I stayed at Danat (or Intercontinental as it was known as then) a few years ago for 6 weeks as DH had to do some work in Al Ain. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Had 2 pools with lots of sun beds - 1 for kids. Spent many an hour at the pub there which had good food (great prawn curry/fish and chips). Breakfast was nice - had lots of selection and we had the buffet there in the same restaurant and it was good also. There was a gym which was quite good, although not too big. Of course, not sure if things have changed since new management took over...will stop by in a few weeks when I go to the air show...

Hi I havent stayed at either but the Danat (which use to be intercontinental) currently has a great introductory offer of all rooms including presidential suite being 399! I have booked to go in March.
