I've now been down twice to renew my PO box and they seem to have random opening hours, or I can't see when they're open. Can't see on the internet the opening hours

Anyone know if they close for lunch as HAVE to go today, and can't face getting down the Umm Suqueim and it being closed again.

Thanks :-)

Not recently but last year's online renewal was easy......didn't experience what you had to go through......strange..... DOesn't make sense (lol) to renew on line then take the paper down to the office! But then that would be so Dubai.....;) edited by Pomegranate on 11/01/2012 Absolutely doesn't make sense, did it all on line last year ... printed the forms out, took to the Post Office, then had to manually fill out the forms again, give copies of the passport and visa etc and then pay ... complete waste of time doing it on line, perhaps I just had grumpy/clueless clerk that day, so this year went armed with my 'manual' transaction! All sorted for another year.

reporting back, went about 2pm yesterday straight up to the counter handed over the renewal form, supporting paperwork and 300aed, got receipt - done and dusted in 5 mins. We have a PO Box at Ranches and they are moving them in the next 1-2 months ("maybe ma'am") up to Motor City, say there will only be a short delay with the post ... we won't hold our breath on that one!

Just went today to renew my po box. They are open from 8 (or 8.30 am) till 3 pm. Long queues but it goes smoothly. Just give the document and the money (cash only!).

thanks pomegranate, I tried that last year then was told to print the form off and take to the post office with payment and all the copies of the visa and passport, which they had from the first application. Am guessing it's the same (cronky) system as last year. Have you managed to renew on line?
