I would be very careful ordering your wedding dress on line. I just had a bad experience with an online company called dressale. I need 7 bridesmaid dresses and although their website and live chat seemed fine, I (luckily) decided to order one dress first just to see their quality and colour. They promised that I would have the dress in days and when nothing arrived after 3 weeks, I found their website to have disappeared and lots of complaints on-line of money taken and dresses not delivered. So, I'm in a bind - lost almost $100 and still need 7 dresses by mid-June. By the way, even though the site you mentions has a .co.uk address, the english in their website is clearly not. Beware!

I can highly recommend Tailorworks in Satwa..it is located in the small mall behind the Iranian hospital.The owner is a Thai lady,I had mye wedding dress altered by her in 2007(I bought it from The Wedding Shop in Jumeirah Centre and they recommended her)she did an excellent job and also made my bridesmaids dress from scratch.3 friends have since had wedding dresses altered there and all been extremly happy.

I had a stunning dress made by Anne Rashid 5 years ago and i can highly recommend her. She sourced the silk and with three fittings the dress was so beautiful.

Anne - 050 5982070 Although I believe she only does alterations on the wedding dresses she sells in her shop. But still give her a ring to find out. There is also another lady... can never remember her name... it's something like 'gnaw' 050 4409739. She did my alterations and was very good. Anne was cautious about doing mine as the dress wasn't from her shop. Although Anne made my bridesmaid dresses and they were lovely.

I know the search for wedding dresses has been done here on EW to death, & I've diligently searched the subject and it seems Ann is the most recommended for alterations .... I'm about to order on line via http://www.weddingdressonlineshop.co.uk/ with a view to having final adjustments made here by a tailor. Do any of you have any experience with this co? If not can anyone recommend another on line retailer? Am terrified what looks lovely in the picture arrives looking like a dishrag!! I am up against a time and financial limited budget to get the dress sorted by Jun 10th!! Eeeek!! LL xxxxxxxx
