I haven't been scammed (only because I've had it drummed into me to NEVER trust emails from the bank that ask for any personal information) however I am also an ADCB customer and received an email similar to yours, and had to take a double look as it looked legitimate the email address was even something like [email protected] which all looked real...
Anyway, I'm wary so deleted it, but I can totally see how you can be caught out if you're not as paranoid as I.
No but never ever click on a link to any secure site! facebook, banks, hotmail, gmail... its so easy for these guys phish the information through a site that looks like the original.
Nope! And no bank would EVER send you an email about it! They'd call you!
Hmmm this particular bank wouldn't call ME, trust me! They may call Sir DH, but Madam you have no authority on this account and "we wish to speak to your husband instead" !! :) (even tho it's clearly me with the authority to clock up all the mileage on it)
Even so banks usually state on their websites, that they wqould never send you an email regarding anything and that it's phishing sites.

Long story short - shopped online with my ADCB C/C after a long period of abstinence :D and within 24 hours received a VERY legit looking email asking for verification of an attempt to use the card from x IP address - with a link on how to rectify. The link (yes dumb I know but the language, logo, everything was perfect) took me to an address that looked legit only that the URL was suspect. DH contacted the bank (of course after telling my how dumb I was) who confirmed it was a scam.
The purchases x2 were from Amazon and one other site that has told me that in 19 years they have never had a security breach.
I am petrified to shop online again!!
Has anyone had this happen before/recently from Amazon or ADCB??
