georgiagirl, cant access mail at work but thanks. Will get in touch with you... The idea was to get the package wrapped in front of the person offering to carry the package. No offense taken, its a valid concern.

Thanks for the suggestions girls. I was planning to discuss this with flyglobal privately, but certainly would never bring something I thought was suspicious and I hadn't had a good look at it. I really do appreciate your insight - could've saved someone from a dangerous problem if they weren't prepared to use discretion.

i 2nd's gleek's suggestion to make sure the package is open and know 100% what's in there. I'm sure its on the up and up but.... DH had an incident where he carried a small, wrapped package from one close relative to another w/o looking at what was inside. He ended up closing the boreder between two countries for more than 8 hours, lots of intensive questioning and eventually the military came in and bomb squad exploded the bag. The contents were actually very innocent, but when looked at together, through an xray machine looked very suspicious. LOL Thank goodness this happened before 9/11. If it was after, I'm sure he'd be in guantanimo bay for the innocent mistake

@georgiagirl Not sure if they ask you this here...but in the US, they specifically ask at the counter if you've a) packed your own bags and b) if anyone has asked you to carry anything on the plane. If asked, you would have to answer "no" to the first and "yes" to the second to be on the up and up. Not sure if you or flyglobal were planning on doing this or not, but to safeguard yourself, you should ask to see the package fully opened before agreeing to take it. No offense flyglobal, but it's kind of a weird request from a stranger. edited by gleekfamily on 18/01/2011

I need some help.... I have a small item that needs to be returned to Amazon - I have printed the return label and just needs to be dropped off at any UPS location. It is a in-ear headset and is 6.5 inches X 5.5 inches X 2 inches and weighs less than 250-300 gms. edited by flyglobal on 17/01/2011
