I ordered several items from ASOS and am getting it through Shop & Ship. Warned DH that the shipment is not going to be cheap!

I'm just wondering if I had used the direct-to-Dubai option (since ASOS offers it) instead of S&S would it have been cheaper?

This is for future purchases. :)

nonny mouse> Wow, occasional free shipping worldwide?! That's a pretty sweet deal. Yeah, I think I've made up my mind as to next time. Their stuff is really great, especially the long-strap bags. :)

Never used ASOS but just had a look (after seeing this thread) and for a limited time they are offering free international shipping.....so if there anything else you want looks like now is the time to order!! Might just place an order myself just to check it out! :)

I think if you're ordering shoes then yes, go for ASOS direct in future. I order quite a lot from there and often get emails offering me free international shipping which is great! Except that it encourages me to shop more... ETA - PS if you're a Virgin airmiles member then if you access ASOS through the Virgin online shopping site you get 4 airmiles per £1 that you spend too. Again...makes me shop even more!! edited by nonny mouse on 25/01/2011

Considering I ordered three bags and a pair of shoes I think it wasn't the wisest thing to order with S&S. :( Until next time...

Shop and ship have a shipment cost calculator so you can get a good idea of what the shipping costs will be before ordering. If it's very heavy then yes - it will cost quite a bit on shop and ship but if not it's usually cheaper and far quicker on s and s.
