Hi all,

I am currently pregnant and my expected delivery is in March 2012. I am an Australian Citizen and I live in Dubai. My husband's a SriLankan Citizen and he's my sponsor. I was wondering if some one could help me figure out how I could apply for an Australian Passport for the baby within the 120 day period.

I assume you mean March 2021 not 2012 right? You have to wait until your baby is born. First, you'll need to provide proof of your Australian citizenship and apply for your baby's citizenship by descent (since s/he will be born in UAE and not in Australia). That way, you'll get your baby's Australian Citizenship Certificate. Once you get your baby's new citizenship certificate, you need to schedule an appointment with the Australian Consulate-General, and then you can then apply for your baby's Australian Passport.
