Hi, my husband is working out in Dubai and I'm supposed to be following with the kids in May. Unfortunately the UAE embassy won't accept our Italian wedding certificate, despite being a legal (and translated) document that has been apostilled by the foreign office. They are saying I need a stamp from the Italian consulate but the Italians are refusing to do it.

Has anyone run into this problem before? Would really appreciate some advice.

Thanks

You need to send it to Italy to be stamped over there. Its a simple process and will take a couple of weeks.... Get a company to handle it for you.

The local consulate can't do it. We were in a similar situation, Marriage certificate from Caribbean. We had to use an attestation Service and it took about 2 weeks. They had to send it out to be attested. Just received it, signed sealed and attested. Don't have the name of the company,as my husband took the whole packet to work with him. Good luck!
