No not lively. No dancing/band anything like that. Nice food, very good selection, bits from each of the restaurants in the hotel. It's in an atrium (surprise) and is very light and spacious but not a party kind of brunch. We have been twice, first time they had a very bored looking singer, singing sort of background music, she was speaking english (i think?) but very hard to understand, the second time was Eid and it was a guy with an Oud. HTH
