Maybe I am not looking hard enough but I am trying to find an online timetable for the Dubai to Abu Dhabi bus. I have managed to find out from the RTA website that there are buses from both Ibn Battuta and Al Ghubaiba, however no timetables - does anyone have any idea?

Oooh jillp - good news! Looks like they've reinstated it, or possibly that I struck a very unhelpful RTA Customer Service rep - have to go there again on March 15th for a day so will check it out - thanks :)

I spoke to a guy on the RTA helpline - he tells me that the AD bus runs from Ibn Battuta Metro station to AD 4 in the morning at 6am, 7.30, 9.00 and 10.00 and in the afternoon at 4pm, 5.30, 7 & 8pm.

I did the trip about six weeks ago, both ways, but was told by RTA here that there is no longer a bus from Ibn Battuta going to AD, and the bus company in AD gave me the same info for the return trip, so I ended up going from AG, which was a nuisance as I literally passed my street on the way there and back (suppose I should have asked the driver to stop there and see what he said...) Dear cheap though, I think it was about 20 dirhams each way, and very comfortable, though I was the only woman on the bus :)

Hi I think there was an earlier post and someone said they are quite regular, ie once they fill up at AG they go and another one comes along. Haven't been on one in a while but they were fine comfort wise & so cheap.

I have emailed them for times of buses on Thursday afternoon - I'll let you know when I get a reply and hope that helps you too. Thanks that would be great. Can't say I am holding my breath for them to reply to you though :) Otherwise I will go to Ibn Battuta at the weekend and see if I can figure it out, I don't need to go until next week. I have heard the buses are decent, can anyone who has been on one confirm?

I also can't find the times, but I believe they run every 45 mins. Didn't know they ran from Ibn Battuta though - that would be so much handier for me.
