Hi ladies,

We want to buy a property in Birmingham (UK). Does anyone know a good property agent there?

Many thanks,

Xia

Let us know how you get on. Wish we were able to buy more just now, I love buying property & getting it all smartened up ready to rent out. Then we let the agents take over and never see it again for a few years!!

Hi Xia Take a look at Paragon Mortgages - biggest Buy to Let lender in the UK and have HQ in BIRMINGHAM. We have several properties in UK (not Birmingham) which have been financed by Paragon for many years. Rates now are very low & linked to LIBOR. In my opinion it is a good time to buy in certain parts of the UK BUT only if you know your chosen area very well. Good luck Jo

Xia, last time I looked, there was no facility for buy-to-let any longer in England, given the financial crisis and the crash of the sub-prime mortgage market. You would need to find a specialist in owners who are overseas and say you were buying it as your own residence and you might be able to find a way round it if you say you want it as a residence to return to and want to rent it out in the meantime, if you see what I mean.
