Hi, I'm just wondering if I can still be able to tag as "fit to work" once I undergo UAE Medical Exam? I had this open-heart surgery 8 years ago since it's a congenital defect (meaning since birth) enough reason why we already decided to undergo surgery for it to be corrected. I didn't have any maintenance medicine ever since and all my 2D Echo tests are all normal whenever I check it every year since the day of the surgery.

Apparently, when I had my medical exam here in the Philippines, they told me that they detected a Cardiomegaly (heart enlargement) and asked to undergo additional test like ECG and another round of 2D Echo, and once done I need to acquire cardio clearance from their affiliated Cardiologist in order for me to have my fit to work papers.

Since my results were all normal, I got my cardio clearance FROM A CARDIO DOCTOR ITSELF stated that I'm "cleared for employment" however the clinic staffs are still hesitant to release my papers and still decided to put me on a "pending status"

Fortunately, my agency here in the Philippines coordinated promptly with my company in Dubai regarding my case and forward the clearance I got from the doctor. I'm really expecting the company will eventually withdraw my application since this can trigger a red flag once I go to Dubai next month. But to my surprise, the company just issued a "waiver" stating that they are waiving all the responsibilities of my local agency and clinic if there's a problem arise when I take the UAE medical exam. And yes, they still want me to pursue my application.

So is heart surgery or any other surgery really going to be a hindrance when applying for a residence visa in Dubai?
