We were advised for our daughter to join the Career-related Programme which is a part of IB Diploma in one of the international schools in Dubai. I am not really aware of it. I have checked it in IB.Org website..But still i am seeking information how is it? how the children go to work placements !

If I remember rightly it's a week in year 12 and the same in year 13, although DS did more than that as he wanted to go to see more, so he's volunteered in the holidays. For the extra time in exams you need an assessment, yes they do CAS and a reflective project, but not the TOK (theory of knowledge) or extended essay which the DP students do. http://www.ibo.org/programmes/career-related-programme/

Thank you for your feedback. I will do that next week. For how many months they do the work placement!? Does they have to submit the essay and do the CAS like IB diploma student ? My daughter is willing to study in Art Collage. She goes to support classes once a week and based on her education assessment she needs more time that others in exams but she does deliver the informations. Thanks again

Hi my son is graduating from the CP programme at Wellington Academy, Silicon Oasis this month, they have regular info events or you could arrange to meet with the Head of Post 16 for any questions you have. He had a specific work placement that we arranged ourselves, students are encouraged to do the research themselves but am sure they can assist with placements
