We have a new maid starting in 2 weeks - I can hardly wait. I was just wondering if any of you have a contract drawn up between you & your maid - just stating whats expected of her, whats expected from you, how many days leave a year, which public holidays etc etc etc ?????
Thanks!!! :-D

Tell her very firmly from the beginning that she will work as and when required. Tell her that you will let her know which day/s she can have off as and when the time comes up. Make a list of things like no mobile in the house during work and that you will inspect her room periodically without warning etc. Tell her the list can and will change as you deem necessary. Start off hard, you can slacken off a little later on, but it will be hard to get stricter. Thanks - will do just that - previous maid took us for a bit of a ride & then flew home a week before Christmas & made us feel so sorry for her that my husband bought her a very expensive direct flight home... he is still mad at this - she had us wrapped around her finger!!!!
