Oh, I can't see the eyes on these so maybe they're not fruit flies. Are they the biggish ones that are too stupid to move when you smack them? The ones I have are absolutely miniscule.

If they have red eyes they are fruit flies and are a nightmare to get rid of, i had to spend nearly a day in my kitchen once to catch them all. They breed like rabbits, there very fast!! be patient!

The bin's clean. I always use bags in the bin and have to empty them at least once a day otherwise we become infested. All fruit goes in one fridge and when I'm making the kid's packed lunches I have to bag all the fruit peelings/tops/seeds etc and throw them in the wheelie bin straight away or these little b*****ds just appear out of nowhere. Will have to try traps. I did try one with just vinegar and caught some but over all they didn't seem that interested. Will try again.

We have teeny tiny flies, I even find them in my fridge Grrrr!!! I think they might be fruitflies. I'm battling to make sure there is not a crumb of food anywhere but the little blighters are still everywhere. They swarm en masse out of my bin (where are they coming from?). Hate to say this but......flies.......en masse.....bin.........check for little squiggly things that turn into flies. Think bleach and disinfectant may be the answer....and don't leave it too long before emptying the bin.

I have the same pb here since 1 week ! they are even dying in the fridge ! today I threw away all the fruits I had and put some apple vinegar mixed with dishwashing liquid in a small plate in the kitchen and many of them died in it...let's hope it will kill them all !

put in a shallow bowl a little plain yoghurt. cover with cling film and pierce holes in it. the flies will get inside and trapped....leave it for a while....like 5 days

do you have plants at home? They may be gnats and are quite annoying :( I used to put sticky tapes near my pots to "trap" them :)

Are they near fruit? Try putting some whole cloves (maybe a little more than a Tsp) in a small dish close by - it's worked for me.
