Ahhhh, good to be back :) I Think that the op should have put a space between the words of the title.... :D.... Other things sprung to mind. Dream job... Hmmmm.... Wanted to be a vet. Wouldn't mind being a racehorse trainer. And sometimes when it's going well, think I would like to have a "cake-boss" style shop :)

Almost any kind of critic, be it food, travel, music etc. Getting free stuff and being paid to judge it. Best. Job. Ever. If you have a flair for writing, I agree that travel writing might be an interesting and fun option. I would love, love, love to do that!

I always wanted to be a dentist and chose my subjects at A-level to suit. But apart from the fact my manual dexerity is not wonderful, someone pointed out that I wouldn't be able to pick and choose my patients and I might have to poke around in some quite skanky mouths. I did a sharp u-turn on that idea. I have changed careers from one that I hated to one I love. I looked at all the things I had a natural interest in and my own personality and skills. <em>edited by Cheggers on 29/03/2011</em>

For years I wanted to be flight attendant then stepped it up to being a pilot. A crippling fear of flying kind of put the lid on that. I also wanted to be a travel agent and I still wish I'd gone into that line of work. I ended up in engineering which was never a field I wanted to work in.

I've always wanted to be a Rock God singing and playing guitar in a famous rock band. ( Whitesnake, Skid Row, Metallica). I think with a gender op and some serious guitar lessons, I would be fantastic. You could start by getting Guitar Hero or Rock Band - yiiiihaaaaaa! The closest I get is karaoke sessions. Sooo many things I'd love to do or wanted to do: Be a vet - but rubbish at science A pilot - rubbish at maths Marine Biologist - again rubbish at science

If money isn't an issue, what about becoming a travel writer? You could draw on your industry experience and use your contacts to kick-start [throwing in a few comp'd trips!'> and turn it into something amazing. Maybe. ;) I can't really visualise what my 'dream job' would be. Whatever it is, it would involve ordering people around though. And earning lots of money to do it. Oh, and being able to do it from home. :D
