Emril maintenance - are they trustworthy?

Emril just arrived for routine A/c, electrical and plumbing maintenance, under contract. Have to say it's one of those situations I struggle with - having strangers in the house where I can't see what they're up to. One time there were 8 of them all over the place and I found it very uncomfortable - I've since put a stop to that but they still insist on 4 at a time. I do all the sensible stuff - remove money, jewellery etc lying around to a safe place, but I can't follow them around the house watching their every move.

Are the maintenance companies generally trustworthy? I haven't heard any stories about theft (as with maids), but just looking for some reassurance! Thanks.

Thanks, that made me feel better. I don't know why I struggle so much, but I just hate it! They have just left and are now sitting chatting in the garage waiting to be picked up!

You can never be sure. But for my own part, Emrill has been servicing our villa for nigh on three years, plus doing outcalls for emergencies, and not once have I ever had cause for concern. Even when they have no idea what they're doing [yes, it happens!'> I still find the teams eminently trustworthy. Of course, there's always a first time, but taking precautions to hide stuff and doing random room checks [despite my faith I would never leave them in the villa by themselves'> is all you can do. There are dishonest people everywhere, true, but I've never found even a suggestion of it from the Emrill guys. :)
