Eviction Notice for tenant
Hi
We are trying to sell our apartment in Marina and move back to UK in 2022. The apartment is currently rented and the existing tenant refuses to help with any viewings. This is after we agreed with the agents, to earmark only one hour every fortnight for potential buyers.
I understand that the only option available is to give the tenant a 12 month notice clearly stating the desire to sell the property. However there is lack of clarity on whether that notice has to be send by notary or a notice by registered mail is sufficient.
Does anyone know if
1) The notice can be send by send by registered post?
2) The tenancy contract expires in December. So after this notice, should the new contract be for 6 months or for 12 months?
Would be grateful for any inputs as we are really frustrated with the behaviour of the tenant
