First year in Dubai - stay in hotel or apartment?
Hi ladies,
I will be starting my new life in Dubai soon.
Actively looking for where to stay during my first year.
Would you please help advise between the top 2 options I found out?
My information : 29 y/o single, newbie driver.
Option 1.
Stay in 4 star hotel
- Area : Al Mina
- Room size 20m²
- 66K/year
- inclusive of all, even the daily breakfast
- 5.3km from work, less 10 minutes drive
- No kitchen
Option 2.
Stay in 1BR apartment
- Area : business bay
- Size : 83m²
- Unfurnished
- 55K/year
- 5% agent fee + 5% VAT
- Exclusive of dewa, maintenance, chiller, internet, cable, etc.
- Have to buy furniture for kitchen, bedroom and TV living room
- 10km / 15mins drive to work
I chose 1BR, not studio because I want my bedroom to be completely partitioned from kitchen so that food smell would not get into my beddings.
