i have a steam mop - i bought one for my mum originally but so good i bought one myself too - took my housemaid a little while to get the hang of using something different but it's great - no buying floor cleaner or mop heads - kills 98% of bacteria, etc. and only uses water. Can buy in Carrefour, Sharaf DG, etc. Well recommend it edited by happyindubai on 18/05/2011

Lol! I just did my kitchen, I HATE doing it!:\: Anyways make sure shes either using a string mop or Vileda material one and has a bucket with a wringer and uses it everytime she pops the mop in the water. I find it best to use VERY hot water and not too much product. A generous splash of white vinegar and some washing up liquid is what I use but everyone is different. Its also important to change the water when you can see it needs it, there no point in washing the floor if the water is dirty. If she has used too much product just quickly run over it with cold water so the floor doesnt dry in dull. Goodluck xxx

Dip mop into bucket ...wring...and mop floor....hehe :D Have u thought about getting a steam mop.... i read on here they bring the floors up much better and cleaner... Is she using hot water ? as i know some dont and the floors dont get clean when they dont. A steam mop sounds like a good option, although I have no idea what it is. I will check it out. I don't know if she is using hot water. That is something I need to check. I don't believe mopping is as simple as you say. I have done that before and my floor never dries. My maid mopped the bathroom floor over an hour ago and it is all wet. Do I need to dry the floor with a towel?
