ha ha my maid of 3.5 years just left and took everything that wasnt nailed down! pillows, sheets, blankets, spoon, forks, knives, pans (yes even the frying pan) it was stuff i had purchased for her use so it all became hers in her eyes! dont have a problem with it as i know she was going back to a mess with a her family hence having to leave. what i find so sad was that she boxed the whole lot up and paid for it to be shipped home which we ladies would have considered rubbish and thrown out. i dont think many of us can fully comprehend how "valuable" this stuff is to these poor girls.

When my maid left, she only took some of our towels. I don't know if towels are considered special in their country (Indonesia).

What's with the frying pan? Was there some drama involving maid and frying pan that I missed? Oh gosh...I dread to think..... There sure was! The maid had made madams life a misery...But the fact that she stole the egg pan kept the thread going for days!! Must actually add that on the other thread.."Best threads of 2010".
