Green laser light from Burj Khalifa!?

Happy 2018!
Ever since NYE a bright green 'laser' keeps shining from the top of the Burj Khalifa at night, it seems to span a long distance and moves backwards and forwards like some sort of lighthouse beam or searchlight! It points towards City Walk/the coast but (as far as I can see) not in any other directions.
I am really wondering why this is happening and what the significance is! Also, why green and not any other colours? I assume that it is linked to the NYE light show but wherever I look on the internet I just cannot find any information on it!
Sorry to seem like some sort of nerd! However, if anyone knows what it's all about, it would be good to find out!
