... and yes, that covers major surgeries etc as long as there are no pre-existing conditions. Best to go through the policy docs before you commit... (there are various levels you can choose from. Ours was with Globemed through Nexus agency.) Hope this helps

We took out a comprehensive policy (thats excludes dental) - best value was with Nexus Company (near Dubai Mall) but premium is based on age and if there are any pre-existing medical conditions. For a 30 yr old it was 1800 DHS pa to give you an idea....

We just went ahead and did a basic policy for our maid (just to be safe) which covers most ailments and emergencies

Been hearing some horror stories. How does insurance work for maids? Is there a supplemental insurance we can buy to cover what the Govt will not? How does one handle real bad health issues (needed surgery, cancerl, etc..)?
