Help with Frigedaire Washing Machine

Our Frigedaire washing machine has just gone bang. It had almost finished it's cycle and DH heard a bang and saw a flash of blue light from behind the machine and a nasty smell.
It's over a year old now, so out of warranty, so will need to get a washing machine repair man in.
DH thinks it the capacitor?
So does anyone have a number for Frigedaire or a very good (and reasonable) washing repair man.
