Hi
I'm looking into either a hot air balloon ride or a sea plane ride as a birthday present for a friend.

Has anyone done both, which would be better? Do the Hot Air Balloon rides concentrate on the desert area or are there any for over Dubai itself?

What about value for money and prices, anyone have any idea?

You call call Gulf Ventures, they book hot air balloon rides and can also give you rates for Sea Wings. I used them and found them to be really good.

I did the SeaWings flight a couple of months ago after I got a special 50% off deal on GoNabIt. It was 45min from Jebel Ali Hotel down to the Creek Golf Club, with all the sights along the way - two Palms, Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah, Burj Dubai, Meydan. It was fantastic! You need a nice clear day though. They drove me back to the hotel to get my car, but I understand there are also full round trips you can book. They also threw in a Dhs 250 food voucher for any restaurant at the Creek Yacht/Golf clubs.
