Where can I go for a weekend break with hubby and 11month old in tow? Happy to do a short flight..or a reasonable car journey! Salalah, Oman - about a 2 hour plane ride. Thanks Batata...why Salalah? It's a beautiful place, (it's nowhere near Muscat), if you Google it, you will find lots of info about it.

I don't think I'd go to Oman at the moment. Heard that Interconti and Shangri la were cut off this week with protesters. I'd go to Le Meridien Al Aqah or Hilton Resort and Spa in Ras Al Khaimah both hotels are fantastic with young children. Yes - a bit concerned about a trip to Oman at the moment...
