we went there on Saturday afternoon, yes lots of people as being new its very popular. The pancakes were lovely and it was nice trying out a new place. I don't know what the original one in America is like but at the end of the day these type of restaurants are not gourmet and all very similar. The good news is that the next IHOP store planned is opening at JBR very soon. I know where I will be going for breakfast some days!
We're very familiar with IHOP in the States, and we thought the food was pretty much exactly the same as you'd get there. Even the bacon tastes the same (even though it's beef and not pork), simply because they cremate it the same way Americans do :)
Only downside was that they were stingy with the lingonberries and butter on DH's Swedish pancakes. Other than that, they've transplanted the IHOP experience fairly accurately. Actually, most American IHOPs are much shabbier than MoE.
Another dissapointed customer here. I went Today and I had scramble eggs with bacon and toast, the scramble eggs were ok but nothing special and rather on the small size also, although there were a lot of staff wandering around, service was poor. It is not like the States at all. For sure I am not coming back in the near future.
Ah well another rip-off place I will not go to. It did not look very enticing when I had a quick look from the outside . Thanks for your comments ladies.
I thought it was nothing like in the States! Food is awful. Really poor quality and obviously hired terrible cooks. The waiters should ask if you want egg with your salt and fake butter when you order scrambled eggs!
It's really noisy in there because it's packed with people, you can't have a conversation.
Nothing ordered looked the same as in the menu. It was really disappointing.
We went, food ok and on par with US. However, I feel overpriced and portions are small and service no way as good
Paid 22aed for chicken strips for my son. He got 2 small pieces. I said to the waiter 'you're having a laugh' and got the standard blank stare.
