Hi

Can anyone help - having trouble getting 2 children into schools for September when we move over from the UK - am on the case applying etc.... but just had email from these via here that they are taking pupils on.
Does anyone have children here? Any advise on if its a good school. I know I havn't choice at the moment but would like to know a bit more before parting with even more monies!
Good & Bad points , please

Hi, a lot of people are in the same boat. We still haven't got a place sorted. Lots of emails etc... And deposits! My plan is so see where we get in schools before we decide on location to live, as don't want to be doing silly trips back & forth. Mine are 4 & 8. Husband is now gone over due to job. Things seem a bit easier as he can make more calls & drive around & visiting schools. Better response face to face, than via emails. I have been so frustrated with all the admin & waiting lists, but it's only with him over in Dubai we have found out emirates have taken on loads of pilots, with families all moving over soon - that's why places seem to be scarce and lists even longer this year. We are still searching & applying, so hopefully will hear some good news shortly- have everything crossed! When are you to move over?

Hi. We are also from the UK and due to relocate to Dubai hopefully soon. Just waiting for my husband's employment visa to come through. Its taking forever. My son will be 5 this October and we are emailing schools trying to find places. Very disappointing. Its difficult as we are not there yet and we do not know where we are living. Is it best to find a school place first and base that on where we live. My husband will be working in Media City. Any guidance much appreciated.
