Hi, I did a search on here, but maybe am getting the keywords wrong.

Have any of you taken your dog with you when going camping in Khasab? Will the dog need his passport? Our dog has his blue vaccination book and Dubai municipality registration - but no passport...will that do? TIA

Thank you Ms. K...as you can see, I hadn't really thought it through! Poor guy has to stay home then!

Depends on how the guys at the border post feel on that given day. Yes, your dog will be leaving the country and requires the necessary paperwork. I would suggest that it is best to leave Rover at home. You could very easily get to the border and be turned away. It's hit or miss. Omanis are like Emiratis and dogs aren't their favourite creatures for religious reasons. If you do take Rover and s/he gets across the border without difficulty (remember that just because the dog gets through one time doesn't mean it'll get back over to the UAE), please keep it on a lead. It only takes one passing goat, fox, snake, scorpion or child to cause major problems for your dear pet.
