I am not in Dubai anymore and having an urgent craving for this soup :) They say it is a "7-lentil soup with lamb and wholewheat". Would love a recipe for a similar soup if anyone has one. Quite desperate! :)

I am very happy you have posted this recipe. I could not find anything to give me some idea, how to make it. The one in the More Cafe has black eyed beans in it, bits of lamb and whole lentils. But I can imagine I can work on your recipe to get to that with the finish of caramelised fried onion on top. Thank you again. I will give it a go

Sorry, I just saw your message now Novice, here's the recipe: Ingredients: Half a cup of red lentils washed 1 onion 1 tomato 1 carrot i medium potato 4 garlic cloves half tsp salt half tsp cumin 1tbsp oil -Cut up the veggies (onion, carrot,tomato,potato and garlic) and place in the pot, add the lentils and cover with water, around 2/3 cups of water. Let in boil, and then simmer for 45 to 1 hour. -After the veggies and lentil is cooked, blend them together with a blender. -Add salt, cumin and oil. Add more salt if you prefer abit more salt. I usually out around halt a tsp and add abit more if needed, but not too much. Anyway it's very easy and tasty, I just hope it turns out nice and tasty the way you like it. Enjoy:)

I have never tried the lentil soup in More cafe but will do. I have a libyan lentil soup recipe which is delicious, but it doesn't consist of any chicken or wholewheat, yet still yummy mmmm i'm craving it now
