The front of our house faces the side of my neighbour's. They have just installed garden string lights with a bright light that is on permanently at night time - even if they are not outside. 3 of our bedrooms are now effected as the light is brighten up the rooms. It really annoys us because it is intrusive and a waste of energy (but that is their choice).
Do you see it reasonable to ask them politely to switch it off if not needed and just say it's shining right through our bedrooms and it's uncomfortable!?
