Hi Tamy It depends on the area where you want to remove your stubborn fat. In Dubai, most of the clinics offer free consultation for the first time.

9. As time and technology progress, patients can expect better results, including less risk, for liposuction and other plastic surgery procedures. The most recent innovation is the use of ultrasound to melt the fat on contact, which makes it easier to suction out. This method happens to work better on males because they tend to have more muscle. www.dynamiclinic.com/cosmetic-surgery/liposuction-liposculpture/

Bottom line is I think, basically doing very good homework, insisting on 'before and after photo's' of the surgeon and not going for the cheapest options. :)

I had laser lipo, stomach and chin done in Hungary, for 1500gbp Brussels is a good place to go (look up "Singelberg Clinic) Would definitely recommend vaser or laser over traditional lipo! There is no proven difference in the result of vaser or laser vs traditional according to what I read and hear. Be careful with such a misleading statement. See this link:http://www.surgery.org/consumers/ask-a-surgeon/explain-difference-smartlipo-traditional-liposuction Also, liposuction is one of THE easiest procedures for a P.surgeon to do and in Dubai there are a lot of PS who do it...why on earth carry the extra cost to fly to Brussels to have it done there...sorry,I'm just asking. The origin of this thread was about the cost actually. edited by Brigida on 04/04/2013 The costs were really for reference more than for anything else, as she was asking about general costs. I mentioned the Singleberg clinic as Brussels had already been mentioned downthread. Also, she is looking for a lower cost option and may people fly abroad to do surgery as it works out cheaper even with the flights. Americans go to Mexico and Brazil, British and German go to Hungary and Belgium, people in Singapore/HK often go to Thailand etc etc etc I consulted with 3 surgeons prior to my surgery and they ALL preferred to do vaser/laser rather than traditional lipo. I didn't say it was better or worse, just that it was my personal recommendation -following my own experience. I don't think that's a misleading statement. OP - American British Surgical and Medical Center have some top surgeons but most are pricey. Cosmesurge are more affordable and have several branches/clinics. I will say I went for the cheapest option (Hungary) and regretted not saving a little bit more and seeing a surgeon that specialised in lipo, as others have mentioned. The guy I saw did everything from facelifts to noses to boobs and I had some facial nerve damage that took some weeks to heal. Stomach is fab though :)

I agree with saralou123. You cannot shop around for cheapest prices when it comes to things like this. I had work(also lipo-) done on me by dr Wayne Smith...you can google him at BR Med Suites DHCC and see his credentials. He also spoke on Dubai Eye the other day...here is a link to the conversation...fascinating to listen to...also as he explains where the word 'plastic' in plastic surgery comes from. http://www.dubaieye1038.com/page/Eye_on_Health_19.03.2013/103151?feed=4.

Can I find affordable clinics for liposuction in Dubai? how much does such surgery cost? When you say affordable what do you mean? Do you have a budget? When i had my procedure done ( Not lipo) i wanted to best surgeon not the cheapest one You have to do your due dilligence here. Any of the most sought after surgeons will charge more due to their education/skills etc. I would rather pay slightly more but be operated on by one of the best as if it goes wrong it looks awful and could end up costing you more

depends on where on the body you want the lipo and how much to be removed. It's not 1 price for all :)
