Saw a townhome yesterday type 2. They seem really nice and good quality. Does anyone know what the DEWA bills are like? Also, is the area nice/ safe? Any pros/cons?

TIA

We live in VH and love it. We've been living there coming up 2 years and as long as the LL wants to keep renting the house to us we will stay here. The pools aren't up and running yet, though one of them surely can't be long - it's tiled, landscaped etc, so it must be ready soon I'm sure. We have a little shop on the estate, but Motor City is not that far away at all with all it has to offer, and the little spinneys in Motor City Green Community is really quite close. I often nip there in 5 mins for forgotten/essential dinner items! All the restaurants in MC and AR (as far as I'm aware) will deliver here, I don't have problems getting my laundry picked up nor with agency maids. I have no idea about the DEWA bills as my DH deals with them, but he doesn't moan about them (and we pay the housing fee too). We are in a C2 villa with a sizeable garden (with irrigation), the townhouses have much smaller gardens (and no front garden, I think) so watering costs would definitely be less. It feels safe, my DH is away a lot and I never worry about being here on my own, there are always people out walking their dogs, taking kids to the park etc and most people say hello. I have kids and have made some friends from the park etc which is nice. I suppose the cons are that it still is an estate in progress. You will see cranes and on occasion workers, though as the estate has established the presence of workers day to day has reduced dramatically. It will depend on where you are looking as to what you see day to day. And depending on where you go day to day some people think it's far out. I don't find that, but I suppose it depends where you are trying to get to. MCC / MOE aren't far at all. We are very happy here (and will be even happier when we have a pool). A lot of the villas here seem to be lived in by their owners and people have made a real effort with their landscaping and look of their houses, which gives the estate a lovely feel. Like everywhere, some people will be very negative about things and others (like me) positive. But for my tuppence worth - we like it. HTH. 2 months for the pools app .... WHOOP !!!!!!

Hi I live in a C1 ( detached house) and my DEWA bill has been about 900 over the winter. We have a biggish garden though so the water for that is expensive. Really like living here and have had no problems with regard to safety. Great for walking the dog etc and convenient for Spinneys in Sports City.
