Looking for a charitable organisation to work with
Hi guys,
I am looking for a local charity to work with for FY20 that allows our employees to be a part of something to help us all ''give back'' instead of just donating funds. (which we will do as well, but would like to be hands on alongside it).
One year me and my office travelled to Fujairah to a nursery that was underfunded and couldn't afford paint on the walls let alone any toys/ furniture. so we went to the nursery and spent a whole day painting it, putting together furniture and bought lots of learning toys/ equipment for the children.
Last year we donated to a school for disabled children and we spent time with the children making things, doing arts and crafts and being in the classrooms with them... as well as donating to the charity.
Another year we gave meals to the workers in the labour camps during Ramadan.
Its really tough to find organisations like this these days. Does anyone know of anything like I am describing that we can take part in and contribute to?
