A serious thread here, hope it can stay, but what on earth is going on in Somalia? Really it's tragic, will the big boys step in and sort the country out or is this heading towards anotehr Rwanda/Cambodia situation?

I don't think it's comparable to Rwanda or Cambodia. For the women Al Shabab are behaving like the Taliban. Somalia/Somalialand has had no functioning central government since 1992 and has a complex clan system (as mentioned in the second link). I don't think any Western country will put 'boots on the ground', too much 'Mogadishu Sydrome'. The whole situation is heartbreaking.
