Hi,
We are moving to the Green Community in August with our son who will have just turned 6. We have enrolled him in the Greenfield school. My question is, are there any coffee morning style get together's arranged in the community for new kids to meet other kids before they start school? Or something similar. It is very important to me that he has a couple of friends at least on his first day at his new school. We visited the area last week in the hope that he would make a friend or two but unfortunately we were not there for very long. We have at least a month or so for him to settle in before school so anything that comes up meeting wise in that time I would appreciate to be informed.
Many thanks
Aimee Ford

It's Libra camps that run the summer camps and they use quite a few of the Taleem schools - I've just checked for you and they are doing them at Greenfields. I dealt with matt before and he was excellent. they've not updated their website yet with the summer camps but contact matt and see what is on offer and your little boy will have ready made friends! http://www.libra-uae.com/

There is usually a summer camp that is run at Greenfields but open to all kids so it would be a great idea to book him in on that - he'll meet lots of kids - many of whom will be at the school when they go back in September. If I can find the company for you I will post the details and you can contact them. My 2 did a couple of weeks there (they go to a different school) and they loved it.

Hi, I don't live in the green community, but my DD goes to Greenfield, she went to a visit where she was introduced to all her future classmates, they even found a boy who speaks the same language to have a "tour" with her. When she got there she already knew most of the kids and felt really integrated. I don't know if you had the opportunity to have this kind of visit, if not try to go, your son will probably make a friend or two during the visit. Good luck!
