In addition to regular fees like application, medical, deposit, the Document Clearing Center is charging extra nonrefundable fee aed 4005 for contract attestation. What is this? Been searching the Internet for the past half hour and there is no mention of this fee anywhere. This subject was discussed here many times and noone ever mentioned this fee and I simply cannot imagine 4000 could so easily slip one's mind. Do any of you know anything about it? Any info greatly appreciated.

p.s. called to place but they 1. wouldn't and then 2. couldn't give me an answer - their English was almost non existent

The 10000 (5000 per parent) is refundable. No I didnt' have to attest my parents birth certificates nor provide them. They required my birth certificate, but this was already attested and contained my parents information. edited by xmasbaby on 03/04/2011

Heard AD was changing their fees back in November. We just did our parents here in Dubai and total cost as 13,000 for both. (10,000 being the deposits). did you have to attest your parent's certificates and if so was there a charge?

I have noticed recently that all the fees have increased from getting a UAE driving licence (up from AED 110 to 410) to re-connection fees at DEWA.

I just renewed my mother's visa & paid only 210 aed. now I am afraid for the next year if it is true !!! edited by Fatimaa on 03/04/2011
