Started a thread for this a few days ago but now can't find it......anyway looking forward suggestions of areas in New Jersey to stay suitable for shopping - so close proximity to big malls or outlet centers......but also with fairly easy access (via subway or train I presume) to Manhattan.....have no idea of the locations so thinking of safety, are there also any areas to avoid?. Going to NY for some retail therapy and would like to save a few $$$ with no sales tax ;)
