Mirdif City Centre has a cinema, Aquaplay (some water play area thingie, not sure of details as I don't have kids), as well as indoor sky diving... Mushrif Park is close by as well.

hello ladies... need some cool n fun places to visit like cafes, restaurants, activitis, events, etc. Uptown periodically has funfairs and starbucks is on the circle (i would call it main square, but its not square)....GBK great burgers also on the circle. i used to like Mugg and Bean and Central Perk but both seem to have closed. :-( Oregano - italian restaurant is really nice and located near the pink mosque....also a great fish and chip shop there that incidently you can get deep fried marsbars at :-/ there is a nice little new family park (nice albeit being under the flight path) just up the road from the pink mosque..... Other than the above and of course Mirdif City Centre nothing else jumps out....although being a great residential suburb of DXB the streets are great for cranking up the running mileage outside...especially on a friday morning <6am! easily get a half marathon route out of it!!!!
