I was considering applying for a teaching position at my son's nursery. They told me they may have positions for a relief teacher.

Now first where I'm from there aren't relief teachers. We have substitutes that get called in if some other teacher is sick. Is it the same thing??

Also what is the average pay for that position in a nursery school? Just to compare before considering to apply. TIA

Relief/ substitutes - same thing. I did a little bit of relief a few years ago and the pay was around Dh40-55/ hr depending on which nursery. I was also allowed to take my LO's in with me on the days I worked for free (as I had no help at home). They were just slotted into whichever class was low on numbers that day. HTH oh that would be wonderful if they took them in. I'll definitely have to ask since I don't have help either
