Anyone who knows biologic treatment for my 14 year old son who is suffering from Ankylosing SPondylitis. Humira injection was rejected by insurance as they said it is not appropriate for minor peo...

Hi, this is a late reply sorry. Yes our son is on Humira, he is 10. Humira is always usually rejected first time they request it, make sure that the medical report is submitted with the request. It usually takes a few days for the insurance to get it approved. Our son is on Humira and Methotrexate for Uveitis. Good luck...

Hi there Purple, I had my son at The Children's Medical Centre a week or so ago for different reasons and I ended up discussing with Dr Kathrin Foehe my husband who has had Rheumatoid arthritis since he was a young man, she told me she is in contact with whom she believes is the best Pediatric Rheumatologist in the country and suggested my husband see this Dr even thoigh they are a ediatric specialist. Unfortunately as she was checking over my son we both forgot to get the details. Not much help I'm afraid but if you can perhaps meet up with Dr Kathrin she should help you for sure! AEW
