So every since i came off the pill my periods have been quite irregular and now ive almost at day 50. My gynae has recommended a pill which will induce my period - but im nervous about taking it as i think i will just end up having same problem next mnth.
Any thoughts? Anyone tried it?

I was on pill to induce it on time, as I have PCOS but it lead to weight gain. Hence I stopped it. Currently Im having virgin coconut oil (1 tbsp twice a day) and its really helping in getting it on time and regular basis. Hope this helps.

oh i see - this is not for birth control. this is a one off pill which apparently starts your period....you take it only once...

The same thing happened to me when I first came off the pill years ago - I went more than 60 days without a period. The doctor prescribed a similar treatment - she explained that going so long without a period can cause fibroids to develop. The doctor did arrange for me to have an ultrasound first though in order to rule out any other cause for the lack of periods. Once I had the treatment - it was a one off injection - my periods came back and were regular.

I took one ( I have to go find the exact name for you) from the US. After giving birth to my first daughter in Summer 2007 I have only had 2 spotting days since. I did have another baby in 2009 but I was a bit concerned. I was prescribed a birth control pill and within a month in a half I had a real period. and it was regular for a few months! I have to say I gained over 18 pounds though in a few months and had sharp back pains that seemed to be a shooting type pain. AND for the first time ever I had hair coming in on my upper lip! AND- leakage from my chest!?!?! I was thrown off so stopped them
